Celtic Fiddling Workshops

Viking Fest – Third weekend in May

This year’s annual event will be May 14th through May 16th and celebrates Poulsbo’s Proud Norwegian Heritage.  A variety of entertainment, local artisans and restaurants will have booths each day of the festival that run all weekend long.  The Viking Village focuses on the way of life for Vikings in 1500 A.D. and is a must see!  The Viking Fest Parade awes young and old alike with creative floats, local marching bands, and impressive military entries.  For more information call 360-697-7450 or visit www.vikingfest.org

Civil War Re-enactment Battles & Encampments

Paddle Kitsap Kick-Off

Great Peninsula Future Festival

Chief Seattle Days

First Lutheran Church Annual Lutefisk Dinner

On October 16th from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the First Lutheran Church of Poulsbo will serve its famous Lutefisk dinner with lefse (unleavened Scandinavian bread).  Other fare includes meatballs and gravy, potatoes, dinner salad, sliced tomatoes, sherbet and Norwegian cookies

Halloween Trick or Treat in Poulsbo

On October 31st starting at 4 p.m. watch out for ghosts, goblins and witches roaming the streets of Historic Downtown Poulsbo looking for candy treats from local merchants.  For the safety of the children Front Street will be closed from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Please bring a non-perishable food donation for the Fishline Food Bank and enjoy the fun.

 

Halloween Celebration in Port Gamble

Julefest  - Poulsbo’s Historic Downtown & Sons of Norway Lodge

Julefest will be celebrated on December 4th, 2010 at the Sons of Norway with a bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Starting at 4 p.m. there will be Christmas music around the Christmas tree down on the waterfront.  At 5 p.m. the Lucia Bride will arrive by boat with the Vikings.  Father Christmas and the Lucia Bride will light the Christmas tree. 

 

Historic Downtown Poulsbo Hay rides and Father Christmas in Heritage House

Every Saturday starting December 4th, through December 18th there will be Hay rides through the downtown shopping area beginning at 11 a.m.  Breakfast with Santa will be Sunday, December 12th.  Please bring a non-perishable food item for Fishline.  Santa’s Mailbox will be located on Front Street and children may post letters until December 20th.  For further information visit www.historicdowntownpoulsbo.com  

 

Holiday Caroling Competition
