Classic Yacht Rendezvous

September 19th-21st

Where: Guest Dock of the Port of Poulsbo Marina (Dock E)

The historic Poulsbo waterfront is the ideal setting for this gathering of

beautiful CLASSIC YACHTS.  Relive the days of elegant yachting while

touring these beauties from around the Puget Sound Region.  Enter your vote

Saturday for the People's Choice Award and don't miss the waterfront

parade of boats on Sunday!

Over 30 pleasure cruisers from the Classic Yacht Association are expected to attend this event. They will be open for visitors' viewing and some for boarding, during the hours 10am - 4pm Saturday and 10am - noon Sunday. Many of these yachts were built prior to WWII, with the majority from the 1920's and 1930's. There is no cost to visitors.

The primary sponsor for the 2008 Poulsbo Classic Yacht Rendezvous is the Historic Downtown Poulsbo Association (www.HistoricPoulsbo.com), and other rendezvous coordination is with the Port of Poulsbo and the Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce. Poulsbo is located some 20 miles north of Bremerton, in Kitsap County, WA, on waters off the western part of Puget Sound. Historic downtown Poulsbo, with its many shops, is located adjacent to the Port of Poulsbo Marina.

This is the 11th annual Classic Yacht Poulsbo Rendezvous. The Classic Yacht Association (CYA) was formed over 35 years ago and has several fleets, reaching from the West Coast to the East Coast of the USA. The largest CYA fleet is in the Pacific Northwest. The association is dedicated to the promotion, preservation and maintenance of fine, old power-driven pleasure craft. Visit the CYA website at www.classicyacht.org  for more information as well as an outstanding photo gallery of member yachts.

John Jacobsen is CYA's Poulsbo Rendezvous Coordinator and, for additional information, can be reached at (360) 297-3281 or jjaco98342@aol.com
