Breidablik Elementary’s Spring Rummage Sale, Bike and Eyeglass round-up
When: Saturday, May 3rd, 9 am-3 pm
Where: Breidablik Elementary School on Waghorn Way in Poulsbo

Breidablik Elementary has partnered with Bikes for Education, a nonprofit organization that distributes donated bikes and eyeglasses to school children and adults in Togo, West Africa. We are asking for any good condition, outgrown, mid-size bicycles to be dropped off at the school during the Breidablik Rummage Sale on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. We have no storage, at school, so please hang on to them until May 3. Bye Bye Birdie Comes to Poulsbo

When: May 2 & 3 @ 7pm and May 4 @ 5pm, May 9 & 10 @ 7pm and May 11 @ 5pm

Where: N. Kitsap Auditorium on Hostmark in Poulsbo

 

Bye Bye Birdie is being produced by Kitsap Children’s Musical Theater. This is a great Family Friendly version of a fun musical production set in the 1950’s. Bye Bye Birdie is about a very popular singer who is being drafted into the Army. The children have been working hard and the production promises to be a great evening of family entertainment.
 

Tickets are $8 in advance from any cast member or $10 at the door. Tickets are also being pre-sold at Dream Dinners in Poulsbo.

Peninsula Services Holds 3rd Annual Art Auction

The Board of Directors of Peninsula Services is proud to announce the date of the
3rd Annual Art Auction, sponsored by Key Bank: May 9th, 2008 at the Elks Lodge located at 4131 Pine Road NE, Bremerton.. Doors open at 4:30 with the live auction beginning at 5:30. All proceeds will support the employment programs of Peninsula Services that help adults with developmental disabilities and other challenges. This gala event will feature art work by many very talented local artists including Irma Bruser, who has donated a special painting which will be for sale at the auction and can be seen on posters throughout the city. There will be over 65 unique art pieces available to bid on during the live and silent auctions. There is no cover charge and the public is invited. RSVP is required: (360) 373-1446

Peninsula Services was established in 1971 by a group of concerned parents seeking residential services for their adult children with special needs. The agency has evolved, now offering training and employment opportunities to adults with disabilities, many very severe, throughout Kitsap County.

Historic Downtown Poulsbo's Girls' Night Out From 4:00pm-8:00pm Thursday May 8th, 2008. Many downtown merchants and restaurants will be participating with giveaways, special sales and events! Customers can pick up their free goody bags (while supplies last) beginning at 4:00pm. Goody bags will be filled with samples, coupons, sale announcements and a list of events including which merchants will be handing out freebies. Come join the fun!

Carnival start Friday and ride tickets may be purchased in advance at various

stores in town.  The evening will be capped off with a fireworks display over

Liberty Bay.  See Viking Village which shows the way of life of the vikings in

1500 A.D.!!  Start your day on Saturday or on Sunday with a Pancake breakfast

at the Armory.  The Viking Fest Parade will follow on Saturday with

fearless Viking Warriors!
